1. Overview
AutoScroll is a reader and auto-scroll app for iPhone and iPad. The app provides features such as Reader Hub, document reading, in-app web browsing, immersive reading, auto-scroll controls, and text-to-speech.
AutoScroll is designed to work primarily on your device. The app does not require a user account in the reviewed iOS version. The app does not include a developer-operated backend, analytics SDK, crash reporting SDK, advertising SDK, or tracking SDK in the reviewed code.
2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
AutoScroll may store the following information locally on your device to make the app work properly:
- Browser tabs, page URLs, page titles, and scroll positions
- Reading progress for documents and EPUB files
- Recent document references selected by the user
- Reader theme and display preferences
- Floating control settings such as speed, size, position, opacity, and orientation
- Text-to-speech preferences, such as selected iOS voice
- Onboarding or intro screen status
- Premium entitlement cache used to improve app experience after StoreKit verification
This information is stored locally on your device. It is used to restore your reading state, app preferences, and reader experience.
3. Documents and Files
AutoScroll allows you to open files that you choose through the iOS document picker or file system. Supported content may include PDF, EPUB, TXT, HTML, images, ZIP/CBZ-style files, and other files supported by iOS preview features.
The app may store local references or security-scoped bookmarks so it can reopen recently selected files. AutoScroll does not upload your documents to a developer-controlled server in the reviewed iOS version.
You are responsible for the files you choose to open in the app. AutoScroll does not claim ownership of your files, documents, or content.
4. In-App Browser
AutoScroll includes an in-app browser using Apple WebKit. When you open a website or search the web, your device connects to the websites or search services you choose to access.
Websites may receive normal web request information from your device, such as the requested URL, IP address, cookies, and other browser-related information. These websites are controlled by their own privacy policies and terms. AutoScroll is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites.
AutoScroll does not send your browsing history to a developer-controlled server in the reviewed iOS version.
5. Text-to-Speech
AutoScroll uses Apple’s built-in iOS text-to-speech features to read supported content aloud. Text-to-speech processing uses iOS system speech features and installed voices.
AutoScroll may process document text, EPUB text, HTML text, or extracted web article text on your device so it can provide reading and speech features.
6. Purchases and Subscriptions
AutoScroll offers premium features through Apple in-app purchases and auto-renewable subscriptions using StoreKit.
Payments, billing information, subscription management, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Apple through your Apple ID. AutoScroll does not directly collect or store your payment card information.
The app may check your subscription or purchase entitlement through Apple StoreKit to determine whether premium features should be unlocked.
7. Data Collection
In the reviewed iOS version, AutoScroll does not include developer-operated analytics, advertising, crash reporting, tracking, or user account systems.
Based on the reviewed app behavior, AutoScroll does not collect personal data by transmitting it to a developer-controlled server.
Some data may still be processed by Apple, websites you visit, or third-party content providers when you use App Store purchases, web browsing, external links, or system services. Their own privacy policies apply to their services.
8. Tracking and Advertising
AutoScroll does not include an advertising SDK or tracking SDK in the reviewed iOS version.
AutoScroll does not use App Tracking Transparency tracking in the reviewed iOS version.
9. Permissions
In the reviewed iOS version, AutoScroll does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, calendar, photo library, or notification permissions.
The app may use user-selected file access through the iOS document picker. This access is limited to files you choose.
10. Clipboard
AutoScroll may write to the clipboard only when you choose an action such as copying a page link or document path.
11. Data Deletion
You can remove locally stored app data by deleting the app from your device. Removing the app may delete local reading progress, preferences, browser tabs, recent document references, and cached app state.
